Jon, Sara-Louise & Charles – The Eventertainers
Last night was the NAPFM Conference dinner. This is the one of the largest conferences for emergency service fleets in Europe. With just over 200 delegates, the evening entertainment was provided by The Eventertainers. It was great to be working with the other principle artistes – silhouette cutter extraordinaire Charles Burns and caricaturist extraordinaire Sara-Louise Harper.
We have provided the entertainment for many conference dinners over the years. For us, there is no real difference between a conference dinner and an awards dinner, charity dinner or any other other black tie event… except the amount of speeches, awards and fundraising bits at each event. We provide walkaround entertainment during the drinks reception then table entertainment in between the courses of the meal.
Having worked with each other for over 10 years, we know exactly the best way for us to approach these events as a team. We provide the camaraderie and energy that adds to the experience. What’s great about the three of us providing different entertainment is that we can double or triple up on certain tables. The client asked for each of us to entertain the top table, which we duly did as well as each entertaining the booker’s table. Note: the booker’s table is far more important to us than the top table!
